CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) — Astronaut Garrett Reisman says he’s in a bit of hot water with his wife, Simone Francis.
As he gets ready to rocket home from the international space station, he said she’s the one thing he wants most to see back on Earth. He says she’s furious he embarrassed her like that.
Reisman is now aboard the shuttle Discovery, ending his three-month stint on the international space station with a bear hug and a pat on the back for his replacement, Gregory Chamitoff .
The two swapped places this afternoon before a brief farewell ceremony between the two crews. The hatches between the two spacecraft have been locked.
Discovery will pull away from the station tomorrow. It’s scheduled to land on Saturday.
