Mygallons.com Web site May Help Save Gas Money for Drivers

As anyone who owns a car and drives him or herself knows, gas prices keep getting higher. Of all places to turn to for relief, few probably envisioned that a website called Mygallons.com could provide any help. But Mygallons.com is proposing to do just that for drivers who want some form of cheap gas. True, the Internet is hardly a place to pump gas from, and Mygallons.com doesn’t bring the gas to you directly. However, the Internet can help you purchase all kinds of products on line, so now Mygallons.com adds gas to that list at a fixed price that could help your wallet later on.

Mygallons.com first requires you to log in and join the site. After you have done so, you can get a Mygallons card which can work to get your tank filled. Members of Mygallons.com can purchase gas online. The fixed price of your gas on the site will be the same as the average gas prices on the day you join. Although members will still likely pay about $4 for gas, the price will stay the same even if prices rise to 5 or 6 dollars in the coming months. When or if that happens, the customer will save a lot of money by redeeming their online purchases.

Once you’re finished purchasing the amount of gas you want, your account will show how may gallons you have left on your card, your transaction history and the current price of gas on the site. Months later, the driver can swipe the card at the pump and automatically get the amount of gas you paid for earlier, without paying the higher prices of that day.

However, membership in Mygallons.com still costs a bit of money in of itself. There is a $29.95 membership fee for an automatic refill plan, while a membership plan for self-replenishment costs $39.95. However, once this is paid, the customer’s Mygallons.com user card can be used at about 95% of the nation’s gas stations. Customers will be alerted as to when their balances come close to zero so they can add additional gallons to their plan.

Mygallons is headquartered in Miami, Florida, and founded by CEO Steve Verona.
