The Cincinnati Reds have traded future hall-of-famer Ken Griffey Jr. to the Chicago White Sox for infielder Danny Richar and pitcher Nick Masset.
Griffey has been overall a disappointment Cincinnati, nursing injuries for most of his tenure. The Reds must pay the remainder of Griffey’s $12 million salary.
With the White Sox leading the AL Central, Griffey could help give the offense some needed pop.
