The United States Federal Reserve has opted to keep its key interest rate unchanged at 2 per cent as the US economy throws off mixed signals.
The Fed’s decision to keep the federal funds rate on hold was widely expected by financial markets.
Analysts had said the Fed would keep rates unchanged because of inflation pressures and lacklustre economic growth.
