SARASOTA - In Wednesday night’s episode of ABC’s Primetime, America saw new interviews and video of Denise Amber Lee. And for the first time, we heard from Michael King’s former girlfriend.

Jennifer Robb went to the Sarasota County Jail to see her ex-boyfriend, Michael King, after he was arrested in January. She dated the accused murderer for close to three years. Robb says the two broke up one month before King was arrested and charged with raping and killing Denise Amber Lee. “It was hard to believe you know, without evidence, that he could do something like that.”

But according to DNA results, evidence taken from King’s North Port home indicates both blood and semen stains on a blanket could be those of King and Lee.

Robb says toward to the end of their relationship, King complained of a buzzing in his head…sometimes in the middle of the night. She’s not sure if that could have triggered anything.

Robb says she still has feelings for the man charged with murder behind bars. “Yeah, I always will. He did a lot for my family. He was there. He was a total different person than what they have sitting in jail. He was a regular family guy.”

In an ABC News exclusive interview, a man says he believes he saw Denise Amber Lee in King’s Camaro in North Port…but didn’t call 911. “I should have called 911, but of course I, like a lot of other people, I thought it was a domestic dispute and I just wanted to stay out of it.”

As for King’s ex-girlfriend, Jennifer Robb - she’s not afraid of the man she once dated and still has feelings for. “To this day I would feel safe beside him. I just feel maybe there was some kind of help he needed. If he did this, he just needed help, that none of us ever recognized that he needed.”

And when asked if King may have known Denise Amber Lee, Robb says she can’t see King just randomly picking somebody. She believes King may have met Lee somewhere at some point.

As for Michael King, he remains locked behind bars in the Sarasota County Jail, charged with Murder and is awaiting trial.
