An Air India Express flight to Singapore on Sunday will be flown by an all-women crew to honour Captain Chameli Krottapalli as the airline’s first woman commander.
Krottapalli will command flight IX-662 / 661 that will depart from Chennai at 2.25 pm to arrive in Singapore at 9 pm (local time).
The return flight departs from Singapore at 10.10 pm (local time) to arrive in Chennai at 11.30 pm.
Krottapalli joined Air India Express in November 2004.
The other crew members of the flight are Captain Amrit Namdhari, co-pilot and cabin crew S Banu, P Bhutia, S Divya and Binal Valand.
Air India Express has a total of 76 pilots of which six are women.
